Like all Model 870 shotguns, this workhorse features a receiver milled from a solid billet of steel for maximum strength and reliability. The silky-smooth twin action bars prevent binding and twisting so youll always have the chance to get off a second shot. Because young shooters are more likely to become stewards of the shooting sports if they are initiated with a gun that fits properly, the 870 Express Compact Jr. features a shorter LOP and barrel length than standard 870s for proper balance. It has a durable, synthetic forend and buttstock with sling swivel studs, adjustable LOP (to 1), and a SuperCell recoil pad for a comfortable shooting experience. The Compact Jr. 20 gauge model has an 18.75 vent rib barrel, single bead sight, and Full Rem Choke.
