Liberty’s Civil Defense rounds are designed to achieve more stopping power (kinetic energy) and terminal effect (wound cavity/lethality) than any other handgun round in the world. They perform in a different way – through a combination of velocity, design/construction and fragmentation in soft tissue for stopping power without over-penetration.The Civil Defense round generates velocities in excess of 1500 FPS. It uses a monolithic, deep cavity, hollow point fragmenting lead-free bullet made of nickel-plated copper with a nickel-plated brass cartridge case.
