Description
Pocket Revolvers got the name because they fit easily into a coat pocket. Colt introduced the model as a black powder firearm for civilians.
With the later introduction of the 1849 Wells Fargo Pocket Revolver and the 1849 Pocket .31 caliber pistols, Colt’s success in the civilian market was assured.
The 1849 Pocket Revolvers feature case hardened frames, brass backstraps and brass triggerguards. Barrels are 4 inches in length and are .31 caliber. These two models differ primarily in the loading lever, with standard 1849 having one, and the Wells Fargo having the lever absent.SPECS: Ba”. Caliber – .31. Finish – Case hardened frame, blued barrel, brass backstrap, brass trigger guard.
