This kit will convert your Lightning to use 209 shotgun primers as your ignition. 209 shotgun primers are water resistant and the hottest, most reliable ignition in muzzleloading today. Once the conversion kit is installed, you can use any of the three types of magnum ignitions 209 primer, #11 percussion and musket caps.
