Chambered in the .45 Long Colt pistol caliber, this Marlin rifle holds 10 rounds in a tubular magazine. The lever-action rifle has a quick-pointing straight grip design and traditional western-style adjustable semi-buckhorn sights.

The Model 1894 has a finely checkered and Mar-Shield finished American black walnut stock and forend and includes swivel studs. The receiver is tapped for a scope mount. The rifle includes adjustable sights, and the offset hammer spur is offset for scope use.
