The removable front sight allows the user to easily replace damaged sights or to install tritium night sights or other accessory sights. The captive, single-piece recoil spring assembly simplifies the assembly and disassembly process and minimizes the possibility of spring loss. The Beretta 92A1 also features an internal frame buffer that increases service life by reducing stress on the receiver.
